Baptism Sunday, June 10th

Sunday, June 10th at 10:00am, three people will be baptized. This is really big! For centuries, baptism has served as a beginning of the journey with Jesus. Baptism stands as a sign pointing to the transformation that has happened in a person’s life because of Jesus.

We  believe that, because of Jesus: His life, His own baptism, His death, and His resurrection, baptism itself is a symbol of being part of something wonderful. When you go under the water, you are participating in Christ’s death. And, when you come up from the water, you are participating in Christ’s resurrection. Through the resurrection of Jesus, God has launched His dream to fill the earth with His love, goodness, and glory.  Jesus resurrection was the beginning of a whole new creation! Any person that is in Christ they are a new creation! The old self is gone and the new self has emerged!

As we celebrate together on Sunday June 10th, may we be reminded of our own baptism, and the fact that we are part of the Story of God where he is making all things new and this wonderful transformation has happened to us.  We are people in whom Christ dwells and we live in the unshakable Kingdom of God.

If you would like to be baptized as well on June 10th, contact the church office at 620-331-2444.

We are also having a Dinner following the Baptismal Service to raise money for  some mission trips in the near future.  Everyone is invited to attend Sunday, June 10th for a awesome time of fellowship.
